Don't most serious photographers only use the center AF point? It's a lot quicker to pre-focus on something to the side than it is to monkey around with selecting the AF point on the side (and then setting it back afterwards).

Selecting multiple or all points is a crap shoot - the camera can't read your mind and will focus on the ground or some other random object.

When taking pictures of birds in flight, the using all points could be useful since it's hard to nail the small center AF point on a fast moving bird. Otherwise, I never use multiple AF sensors.
