Re: It is smaller than D700
In reply to PerL, 8 months ago

I did a size comparison last night. The difference between my old D700 and my just sold D800 is neglidgable, don't kid your selves. I still have my Nikkors. (including the new 1.8 trio). The trio on the D800 without grip still feels bigger and heavier than the OM-D with grip and 12-35.

My real concern is image quality.? I have been shooting with default settings in JPEG and noticed a lot of smearing of detail. I was heartbroken. Today I will go out and shoot with NR and sharpining off and see what I get. I really thought hard about picking up a D600, but it is to frickin big and heavy. Befitting a kit like the EM-5 in a compact ag is very important to me as long as the IQ is passable.

Adams, Gutmann, Steichen, Snoopy, Stigletz, Weston. they lead by example.

I hunt, I peck, I squint, all on a MacBook Pro 13" laptop. So don't laugh, I'm happy there aren't more typo's! (Love the screen and touch pad, hate the keyboard.)
