D600 – Diopter out of range?

I just picked up a new D600 and the first thing I noticed is that I had to turn the diopter to it’s full limit to be sharp. When my wife tried it she found that she wanted to turn it a little further. On the specs it says Diopter adjustment “-3 - +1 m-1”.

We don’t have particularly bad eyes and the diopter on my D300 is well within range.

I’ve ordered a new diopter to better cover my range (cost $20). I just though that I would share this.
