No, but a prime can be a zoom

No, but here's how you can use your prime as a zoom. You take the prime lens in one hand and the camera body in the other. You then throw your prime lens in the direction of the remote object that you want to make a photo of. You run towards the prime lens, locate it and put it on your camera body. Take a photo and... the object you want to make a photo of is much nearer !

Wonderfully simple, isn't it ?
