Google just bought Nik Software

Yes, it would be nice if they just stripped out Snapseed if that's what they wanted and sold off the plugins as a separate business, but I can't see that either.

I've had friends working for big companies like Sony and HP who have had their ideas squashed because they only made a few million for the company. Fine for a small business, but nothing a giant corporation can be bothered with.

At least if Adobe bought them they might have just brought the best features into Photoshop, but I envisage Google just ripping out the parts it wants and discarding the rest.
