Why UK price so volatile ?

Over the past few weeks the D800 has dropped to as low as £2099 and even Jessops who are often the most expensive are selling it currently at £2154.

Even more unbelievable is the D600 which is currently on Amazon for a crazy £1613

You don't appear to see such fluctuation with Canon, yes I know the 5DMKIII has come down but Nikon just appear to be all over the place, perhaps it's the exchange rate?

Now if I had bought a D600 just 48 hours ago for £1955 I wouldn't be very pleased with Nikon.
