Can Flashmeter connected to flash triggers fire speedlight flash?

Perhaps the forum can help: (1) Will a flashmeter connected via pc cord to a Yongnuo Flash trigger (RF-603) then by wireless to another RF-603 which has speedlight (Yongnuo) connected to its hotshoe fitting fire the flash when the flashmeter's 'read' button is pressed?
Meter in question is a Minolta Flashmeter IV. I know there are other avenues to trigger the flash, ie. (2) trigger manually and take a reading, and thirdly the flashmeter has a built in IF sender light. Last option requires a special 6V 4LR44 battery which I do not have at present - also need to buy a pc sync cord.
Would appreciate your answers.
