You need to wait for the camera to come into stock then the price will fall because no one is going to buy it. A 5DII can be bought new for £1500, whilst it's not a new model camera it does most of what the D600 can do and if you're moving up from a DX camera you may well need a load of new lenses anyway.

Nobody should buy this camera in the UK until it hits £1550, at that point it will be the same price as the US on introduction (allowing for tax).

In the mean time I can carry on using my D300 which takes pictures every bit as well as the day I bought it.
