Of course not. Why not try what you have on the D600 and see how you like it first. If you find something lacking somewhere, then address that need.

If you have enjoyed those primes so far, you might find yourself wanting a 35/2 to give you what the 24/2.8 did on the D90, and possibly a 135/2 to replicate the 85/1.8 on the D90. The 50/1.8 on the D90 will be basically the same as the 85/1.8 on the D600 and the 24/2.8 on the D600 will feel very wide on it.

thanks, I've had my eye on the 135/2 as well. As much as I love my primes, they can get in their own way. I'd like one great zoom lens ....I can live without the 14-24 or 16-35 ---but would love something to cover the other end. (as I am not a landscape photographer)

How does the 70-200 work as a replacement for the 85 and 135? Is it redundant to have both? Maybe I could trade the 85 for a 50 1.4---

24, 35/2, 50 1.4 (love my 50 1.8), and 70-200. Good plan?
