I would sell the D90, the kit lens, the 18-200 and 70-300 and just get the 70-200 VRII. You have the mid ranges covered with your fast primes. Once you own and use this lens you never look back.

Later on I would get the 24-70 f2.8 for the convenience of a mid range zoom but seeing as you have the fast primes, the 24-120 f4 may be a good choice.

Just note that with the 70-300 on the D90 you had effectively 450mm equivalent. If you need this reach you may need to think differently. I have the 70-200 on a D700 but when I am using my longer lenses I switch to a D300.

Thanks, great advice. I'm impressed that you understand the 70-300 on my D90---many consider it a low quality lens, but it does what it needs to do....It has captured many great pictures for me. (Fenway park, Camden yards etc...)

I'll need to save for the 70-200.
