Horrible naming the new camera just the Leica M

The OP is way off base about the "M" as the name for the camera.

Naming it the "M" is VERY smart.

How long has the 911 or the Corvette been called those names? 50 years?

Each of those cars has changed a lot over the years with incredible changes in safety and technology.

Leica will do the same with the "M".....a multitude of changes as time marches forward.
