These are my $5,000 reasons to not use a quick draw strap again

The weakest link to most of the quick draw straps is the piece screwing into the camera. Mine screwed off after a less-than-an-hour-usage yesterday, and these are the damages:

My 4-month-old D800

And my 6-month-old 70-200mm 2.8

I am so upset that I cannot even cry.

Some will ask which strap was that, and it was the "Carry Speed". But I think other systems with a screw on device will have similar risk.

Wondering how much will it cost to repair them.
