Thanks Vini! That reminds me of shots I have tried to take in the Library of Congress in Washington DC. They always seem to show too much detail (too close) or not enough detail (too far away). I never thought of doing a portrait panarama shot. Thanks for the tip!

Hello Michael,

Thanks for the comments.

I used a 16-35 Lens for this shot (which is my work horse) with an aperture of 4.

I took 3 shots and used Nik hdr pro 2 to get all together. I am not a massive fan of HDR that we normally see on the web, but I occasionally use it. I tried not to make this shot so harsh or over processed. So instead I opted for more balanced tones and just the color that I made a bit kind of "medieval".

I only cropped a bit on the left so the image looks more symmetrical and the bottom part which I did on purpose when taking the photo because I knew I could end up with alignment problems (it is pretty much impossible to use tripod there). Distorted a bit using elements and that was it. It sounds a long process, but it only took like 10 minutes. I think it was worth it.

Thanks
Vini

I really like the last one. Can you tell me how this was taken? Is it crop from a wide angle shot? What lense were you using?

They are all nice!

Thanks,

Michael
