Agreed. I often use my G11 on a tripod for landscape work, and I use the LCD like a miniature view camera for careful composing. It's especially great when the tripod is in an awkward position which makes it nearly impossible to look from behind. And in bright sunlight I strap on a Woods Hood which shades the LCD. Articulated screens are an essential feature for me.
