...As soon as its price drops down to 1600 USD.

History likes to repeat itself. When 60D and D7000 were simultaneously announced people were bashing 60D's specs too - no MFA, single SD slot, no 100% OVF, slower burst and only 9 AF points. All this negative reaction, however, was based on the premises that D7000 was 1199 USD and 60D was 1099 USD - merely 100 USD discount could not justify these spec omissions. In just 4 month after announcement, 60D's price dropped down to around 899 USD range. Suddenly it was competitive and became a good seller.

A very similar situation is slowly transpiring with 5D3, 5 month after introduction, we are now seeing prices as low as 2750 USD, no one can argue at $2750 it is still a bad deal compared to the 3000 USD D800. Basically, Canon has the history of discounting their cameras a few months after release to the point of making them competitive, and they will do just that with 6D.

The spec gap between 6D to D600 is larger than that between 60D and D7000. 60D had a swirl screen, more resolution, better video than d7000, but 6D has almost no advantage over D600. It is for this reason I think the discount on 6D will be of a bigger margin than that of 60D. My prediction is the settled price for 6D, in around Jan 2013, should be about 1600 USD.
