Looking for software/for "dummies"
Sep 18, 2012

I currently am using iPhoto, and friends are very high on Lightroom,4 I'm not to swift on computers, I may buy my first cellphone tomorrow???? but I'd like a program I can work comfortably I had a trial LR3, for 30 days, I got lost in it and frustrated and let it expire, now I'm willing to try again or another program.

My camera dealer is high on NX2, a couple folks at the camera club like Aperture, but most recommend LR 3 or 4.

I'm mostly intimidated by all this "new fangled stuff" going digital almost 10 years ago has been a "love hate affair" so can anyone really recommend a software program that I might be comfortable with?

I have a PC laptop w/ elements 10, I don't see anything special in it over elements 5 I was using before. But I really don't know "squat" about all this computer stuff.
I shoot jpegs because I don't know how to manipulate RAW images .

A few simple guidelines would be helpful, I have a very low frustration level, my two Nikon film cameras are calling me " come back, come back".

Just like photography, I have no training, I picked up a camera and started having fun, been shooting Nikons for 25 years, I'm not a brand "nut" they work for me, but working digital has had me pulling my hair out.
Some simple answers or guidelines would be greatly appreciated.
