epson 3800 tidal pool detail lost

I am trying to print a picture of some interesting rock formations that contain some tidal pools. The detail in the rocks is fine, but from the tidal pools the seaweed is printing just as spots of color with little detail or structure.

I am using an Epson 3800 and proPHOTO RGB color, 360dpi.
