Cold Feet: I purchased a 7D, but will I regret it? (I currently own a 60D.)

I recently purchased a 7D 28-135mm kit for $1400 from Frys. (I thought this was a pretty good deal.)

However, I keep hearing reports about the 7D having less than stellar autofocus performance, ( http://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2012/08/autofocus-reality-part-3b-canon-cameras ), and this greatly troubles me because this is precisely why I upgraded from the 60D. (Okay, there are some other benefits: Bigger Viewfinder w/ 100% Coverage, AF joystick, Better ergonomics, Build quality, etc.)

However, all of those are incredibly minor in comparison to AF performance, which is the absolute most important thing in any camera. (IMO) My 60D has frustrated me when it comes to Servo performance, and I was looking for an improvement in this regard, as I find myself shooting birds more and more frequently these days. (Beyond this, I also do some concert photography, which also requires an AF system that can track accurately.)

If the 7D does not, in all reality, perform significantly better than the 60D in this regard (AF), then I would be very wise to return it and continue on with my current camera. Am I right??

What are your thoughts on this? For birds, wildlife, and concert photography, will the 7D give me more keepers? Or am I better off saving the cash and investing in faster glass?
