Buying a S100?

I have a Nikon s8200, unhappy with low-light non-flash shots. I'd like to get the S100, but what I read in this forum re: lens problems--I'm kinda hesitant. Anyone out there happy(content?) with their s100? I am turned off by the new and improved(?) S110.

For me a lack of front grip is a definite no-no! In the past i had an s90 which kept slipping out of hand. Also, I am turned off by a touch screen. Any input would be appreciated.
