Fed up with Epson ink clogs. Is Canon a better choice?
Sep 17, 2012

Hi all. I've had it with the clogged jets on my R800. The photo output was never totally banding-free anyway, but now the printer appears to be permanently unusable. I went so far as to flush the nozzles with Windex, remove and clean the parking-spot sponge, run the carriage over a Windex-soaked cloth. Still unusable, with a couple of jets essentially 100% blocked.

With it becoming less necessary to print on discs, I guess I can give that feature up. Photo quality is paramount, and ink longevity would be nice. I won't buy an HP because of their incompetent software and firmware.

Would you say Canon is the best call? Thanks!
