So, what now - M9p Users?
Alright, went through the announcements.
Here is what I get.
M-E: Less appealing M9. No USB and no frameline selector. Since the framelines are not electronic in the M-E, that means no "non-coded" lenses for this camera. So no older or exotic glass for which frame-lines need to be selected.
Pass - stay with the M9p
M: Interesting. Need to see images. However, CMOS look "tweaked" to match M9 - show me. ISO looks like it may be about 1-stop better on noise (given the specs) which is dissapointing given where CMOS sensors are nowdays. Should have been MUCH better. Zooming with focus peaking (holding camera out like a P&S) not really. Not going to pay for an electronic viewfinder either. If I were, I would have bout a m4/3rds camera.
Might add a Sony RX100 to my kit for when I need such capabilities. Plenty of time to consider, but doesn't look like something which will force me to move from my M9p to it.
