Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD vs. Canon EF 24-105mm f/4

Of these two lenses which would you pick for your walk around lens and why? I am looking at the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD and thinking about selling my Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 or keep it for backup maybe.

I really like the 2.8 on the Tamron and it has VC as well. Plus I have heard that the Tamron is sharper altogether than the Canon.

What are your thoughts here? Thanks everyone.
