Actually the 14-140mm is the sharpest lens. At 14mm it has the highest sharpness on center of any m4/3s lens. It also is sharper across almost the entire frame at 25mm than the 50mm is.
The 50mm is a terrible lens for sharpness wide open. Here is the dpreview tests results as compared to the 14-140mm.
Ohhh, come on now. Apples with Apples. Compare the 2 lenses via your link at 50mm and F5.6, the Olympus is markedly sharper than the Panasonic. The difference with both "wide open" is minor at 50mm.
Not knocking the 14-140, it's a wonderful lens. But why compare a macro at 50mm to a super zoom at 14mm? And by the way, the corners at 14mm aren't anything to celebrate!

The four thirds 50mm f2 has been "dethroned". The new mft macro takes over the four thirds in sharpness. Quite amazing.
