I agree with all of the above. You have a nice camera, so don't risk any damage by purchasing a cheap tripod. When I bought my DSLR, it hurt to spend $270 for the Manfrotto tripod and head. Several years and outdoor seasons later, I have no regrets. Save the cash and buy something better.
