Googles acquires Nik Software

It appears that Google has acquired Nik Software (story here http://tcrn.ch/UfxE1Z ), probably because they want their mobile photo software and team. I wonder how this is going to affect CaptureNX as it's my understanding that Nik Software also develops that or at least provides technology to Nikon for it?
