Flash for D2M

the ef 610 is a flash for sigma cameras which i thought would be perfect. I often use fill flash during the day... thanks TQ

sandyf wrote....I was under the impression that flash units' electronics were specific to brands, ie Canon flash on Canon camera; Sigma flash on Sigma camera. I'm not sure some other brand (non-Sigma) flash would work properly on the Sigma camera. You'd better check with Sigma tech support before trying a non-Sigma flash. My large flash which works on the Sigma DP2Merrill is a Sigma flash. I wouldn't dare put my Canon flash on it without knowing whether it would 'fry' the camera....
