HELP with lighting equipment

Hi everyone,

please can someone help me, I'm very new to photography, I really enjoy landscape but I want to get into studio.. I always take photos for family and friends but I want to start getting the correct equipment and doing it correctly..

I'm located in Australia, I want to know what is the best lighting for studio photography. I just get really confused one website says one thing the other says the total opposite....
Is it better to buy it in a kit?
