Third Party E-mount Lens

So far it looks like Schneider Kreuznach, Tamron and Sigma are the only manufacturers to offer an E-mount lens.
However, I'm still not completely clear on what the 'e-mount' compatible lens entails.
Does this mean I wouldn't need and adapter ring, and that the aperture and auto-focus can be controlled through the camera?
Thanks.
