D800, D600 and still dissapointed to replace D300

What happend to nikon? Can anyone explain their strategy. It seems i am no longer their target customer. I need a solid body with better technology and quality, no more. I dont really care about billion pixels and love to Fx upgrade, but why should admit worse than D300 to get Fx?
