San Francisco tour - where not to go?

Thank you guys! I like the idea of spending a few days in several places around SF. Any particular must-see places? I am quite flexible with any movements as we will be renting a car. Is it a big problem to find a parking space in the city? I assume public parking should not be a huge headache.
