The party's over in California

Beginning tomorrow (Sat, Sept 15) new California law requires out-of-state online retailers to collect California sales tax. Last I heard Amazon has contracted with the state to act as the clearing house.
I believe that while California-based online retailers will be helped as, price-wise, it becomes much more of a level playing field, the effect on operations like B&H will probably be minimum, as buyers will still gravitate to the combination of competitive online pricing, great service, and generous return policies.
The big winner is California.
