--Firstly if it will work consider your self lucky as CPU of this Tokinas don't play with newer Nikons other than D70 D D200 era anything younger and you may have a problem as I did. I was very happy with a lens but after I get d700 lens did not work with it.Other than that it is very good lens I think better than Nikon AFD80-200mm 2.8 .
