Suggestions for substitute for microsoft publisher

My son is looking for a substitute for microsoft publisher that he can use in a hotel setting for pr and marketing purposes. I have used publisher in the past but it has been several years and it was difficult at first to learn to use. Once I learned though I loved what publisher could do. He has never used these kinds of software before and needs something relatively easy to learn.
