200 VR "II". The most "improved" thing, was the price.

Thread at time of 200VR II announcement:

Supposedly the nano will help flare. Personally I don't have a huge flare problem with the 200 VR I/.

Shot this Windmaill/sunset directly into the sun a few night ago in the California Delta, just Southeast of Sacramento:

Nikon D4 ,Nikkor 200mm f/2G IF-ED AF-S VR
1/1600s f/16.0 at 200.0mm iso1600

OK, that example was stopped down; here's one at f/2 where the statue was backlit, i.e. almost facing setting sun which was just off to the side:
Nikon D3 ,Nikkor 200mm f/2G IF-ED AF-S VR
1/125s f/2.0 at 200.0mm iso200

I'm trying to find some worse example of flare from my 200Vr I, but for some reason can't seem to find any.....

I bought my 200VR I for $3999. No way I upgrade to the new one at it's current price.

Best Regards,
RB
