Re: DX vs FX J1 V1 Will the viewfinder work for fast action such as birding though?
In reply to Kim Letkeman, Sep 14, 2012

I'm looking into it already. One advanced user recommended: "The cure is to go electronic and set the camera for 10 fps and then shoot in bursts. No lag and you're pretty much guaranteed to catch some peak action." This is about the V1. I don't think the J1 is an option for me, since it lacks the electronic viewfinder (or am I wrong?). But mirrorless is interesting!

Hi Kim,

Will the viewfinder work for th fast action i.e. lag , tracking etc? Just wondering if this will fit with the OP's needs? Would be good to know anyhow.

Good point ... I can't say that I know the answer yet ... I will pick my J1 up tomorrow morning ... I hear that the V1 has a preview issue that somehow interferes with continuous shooting ... I'm sure that the OP will look for such information if he chooses to evaluate such an option ...
