Go D600!!! - I want 5D3 for Christmas for $2,500 or less

People lately have been getting 5D3 for $2,700 - 2,800 with a US warranty from authorized dealers. Still a bit high, a $1,000 off in only about 6 months after it became available would make it more appealing for my Christmas shopping.

So much talk here of the "$1,500 price difference" while it"s only $600 already and likely less than $400 in a just a couple more months. Many thanks to Nikon for the new overpriced plastic toy!!!
