Hi there... I would like to point out that, in fact, when looking for mpixels comparison, we should have in mind that when converting a Bayer sensor for true colour (hardware wise) you have to divide to 4, rather than 3; that is because Bayer array is, of course, RGBG. Thus, the Nikon is actually 9 mpixels.
