Anyone use the old Nikon 70-200f4 AF with D5000?iS 70-200F4 decent?

You mean the old AF 70-210 f4? I had it and quickly sold it. It was not a good lens, not really sharp, lots of CA and the contrast was not that good. I think you will be better served with the current 70-300 VR.

It will AF with bodies with the AF motor, so with the low end bodies not.
