In Photoshop Elements 10, there are several choices about how to make a panorama out of individual photos. This pano looks like what PSE would do for "reposition" only - the edges are not stretched to make up for perspective, that is, how the subject is farther away and looks smaller on the left and right.

There is a "perspective" setting. You should also try "Auto", it does perspective and whatever else it thinks is right. When you use either of those, the sides of the panorama produced are stretched out both horizontally and vertically, to overcome the effect you are complaining about.

Of course, that really IS how it looked. But I agree it looks unnatural in one photo.
