So many people said film would always be around. It is clear it is gone except for a few rolls so people can pretend to be old time photographers or for schools.

The same for ovf / evf. The latter is going to prevail.

Some manufacturers cannot drop their design and change now. They will be hurt in the long run. So many lenses out there for their old technology.

But once everyone shooting a serious event is using Sony or something very similar, the others will fade into the sunset as we set our cameras to sunset mode or they do it in an auto fashion. I bet it will someday say to you,

Sunset mode?

and you say

Yes. and it happens.

Probably true. With a touch screen in case it's in church or the courtroom.

The Verdict? EVF, younemisis.
