X-Pro-1 flash question

I use the X-Pro 1 with Nikon flashlights (SB-24 and SB-28 in manual mode).

The flash always fires, but above 1/250s only the upper part of the picture gets the brightness you want (or need).

Under good weather conditions you are always above speeds of 1/250s when using aperture setting between 2 and 5.6.
