Is mirrorless more prone to 'grass is greener' syndrome?
Sep 13, 2012

There seem to be a number of people posting 'I am ditching M43 for NEX6' (and similar) threads. This strikes me as bonkers given that these cameras have not been reviewed, the people starting the threads can't even have held the cameras, and no-one has any idea if the new lenses are high quality (yet). Heck, the NEX6 doesn't seem to offer anything particularly new over the NEX7 or OMD.

So why the rush? Is it 'grass is greener' syndrome? Do CaNikon users change systems every time the competition brings out a slightly better sensor? I'm not saying NEX is bad, or that people are wrong to change system, it just seems quite irrational and illogical to do so on such little information. Or maybe everyone here is very wealthy and don't have a problem changing systems at the drop of a hat?
