D700 Scam?

Hi All, I see that B&H lists the D700 as "discontinued", however you can find the D700 in stock and in new condition in some other sites. Are those sites that sell "new" D700's to be trusted? And if so, is it worth it to buy a new D700 or should I opt for the D800 or the upcoming D600? Thanks.
