Could it be just the warm glow from the dominant red/orange shades that canon cameras render? Each brand has a noticeable tendacy on the color wheel. I am forever reducing red levers in lightroom towards the yellow side. Not a real problem though.

Nice to hear that fluorite reduces CA, although i do remember the 400 f4DO's fame for the weight reduction because of the fluorite, and that was why it was labeled not an L lens, hence the green ring instead of red. I believe the glass now used is not the same as the 400.
There is no other photography like Wildlife
