I used to pay (real money) to dpr via donations since I felt it was content worth paying for. and if there is ever a move to add micropayments to disable ads, I'd be all over it.

until then, ads are obnoxious and I don't believe its my duty to endure them. blinking or static, I simply disable them as my choice.

and dpr is probably the toughest website I visit, in terms of how much work I have to put in to get filters to work properly.

still, when I tried a totally unblocked firefox browser, the images STILL did not show up, so its not my adblocking that's stopping it. something else is going on.

I wish webmasters would not try to be so tricky about obscurring what they are doing. that's part of the problem, in fact.

if I can't fix this, I guess its just stuff that I'll write off as more dpr brokenness. it will probably cause me to spend even less time here. oh well. I don't think they care at all, to be honest.
