Not satisfied with the images on D7000

If this is not a common problem asked on this forum already, can you guys tell me how to improve the quality of my images on the D7000. Prior to owning a D7000 i had a Canon T3i and I feel that the T3i gave me sharper images, and better saturation on the colors than what I am getting on the D7000. Im really dissapointed in the quality. I also printed two 8 x 10 images and the D7000 pics came out some what blurry.
I have my settings on Large Fine to get the max. quality.
