It means there is pricing room for another body in the product line-up. Not sure where the production capacity is going to come from as the D600 is most likely taking up that capacity right now in Thailand.
Sorry, but you are wrong regarding the production capacity in Thailand. That is mainly absorbed by the D3200 and D7000. These cameras sell in much greater volumes. And I I'll bet you that a D400 will outsell the D600 because it will be cheaper.
But yes, a D400 body is very likely now. Possibly the next announcement.
