Help with file numbering

You can always try a batch file renaming utility to change numbering. It would be very easy to remove the camera/LR naming conventions and replace them with sequential numbering (even crossing multiple folders) with a shareware batch file renaming utility like Bulk Rename Utility http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Main_Intro.php

I haven't used BRU in my photography, but it has proven invaluable in organizing my 50,000+ file music collection.
