I have a Canon T2i (550) and a Canon 15-85 lens as my walkaround/travel lens.

I also have a 55-250 as a moderate zoom that I don't expect to use on a tripod and am conflicted about.

I'd like something longer for wildlife (I've gone on hiking trips to US national parks in each of the last 5 years - most recently Glacier NP in Montana) but at this stage of my life (I'll be 69 on my next trip next summer) I am not steady enough nor am I willing or able to carry a heavy lens around.
