How good is the RX100 Lens?

I downloded again RX100 and G1X jpeg and raw of Imaging Resource, LensTip, Dpreview at 28mm f 5.6 and f 8, iso 125 and 100

I cropped Sony file to 4:3 as Canon file. Then I upsampled both files to 44x56 cm print at 360 pp (A2 print). Center frame is similar, a little better Canon. In the middle and corner, Sony lens is quite soft. Canon lens insted is very sharp overall.
